I am Ezenagu Emmanuel, I was born in Kaduna, Nigeria. I am the second child in my family. Though born in Kaduna, I have lived a couple years of my life in Abuja, Nigeria.
I come from a middle class family, where right moral values, respect for others and religious beliefs are the foundations upon which I was taught to hold fast while in life, a reality I have come to believe in whilst growing up. I believe in success through hard work and dedication, one can truly achieve anything he desires if he can set his mind to it. Most of what anyone can define as an achievement in my life has been gotten as a result of the discipline and hardwork I have displayed towards all that I found important. Though at occasions I question myself if the things offered up in exchange for the goals I chased were worth it. At times like these I look inwards and find motivation, the satisfaction of the result and its benefit to the things I hold dear.
As a developer, I did not get into coding up until my institutional level. An IT student at the University of Technology, Minna. I will spend a length of my nights after the days lectures writing codes, trying out data structures, algorithms and design approaches taught during the day. Often when presented with a problem I would love to think of alternative approaches to solving it than the obvious way this will lead my in an endless stream of imaginations of what could be with the right resources. I wrote my first code in java, majorly because it was the language of choice used to introduce the concept of Object Oriented Programming. Really learning Java set the foundation for me to easily learn other languages and concepts behind frameworks. I have written codes in a handful of languages. I would spend hours learning a new programming language or a specific framework so I could find the best solution to a problem one that is fast, robust an effective. My journey in programming has not been all sweet. To be sincere, it not easy most especially when you have a bug that seems to come from mars. Your nightmare is tripled when you are dealing with a framework with poor documentation and a small community to turn to for support but most at times your frustration is overwhelmed by the joy of having created something that is being used and works.
My want to know and learn stuff has left me venturing to shores outside coding. I still play football and have learnt teamwork and discipline, skills I am glad to have learnt. I play chess, though hardly have time for it, I enjoy good music. I prefer the peace and happiness I feel after a pleasant conversation to smiles from my thoughts when in an awkward spot. I have been coding for a while and I don’t think I will be stopping anytime soon.
